FAQ’S

How do I know if I’m suitable?

Book in a free online consultation (30mins) to find out if you could benefit from our services.

Our consultation cost nothing and if by any chance you are not suitable, we can offer suggestions, support, advice and guidance, regarding alternative pathways, other than Myprotherapies providers, that may be more aligned with your needs.

What do you do with my data?

We store your data for two years - All data will be kept securely, and remain completely confidential, the sole exception being when there is perceived to be a direct threat of immediate harm to yourself or others.

In which case, relevant data and information pertaining to your engagement with Myprotherapies may be shared with another party for the interests of safety.

If, at any point you wish to manage and/or delete your data, you may do so at any time by contacting us at contact@myprotherapies.co.uk with your request.

Should you wish to change practitioner, this can easily be facilitated and may be preceded by another consultation in order to recommend another practitioner.

Alternatively, refund considerations may be considered and should be included in your complaint email citing any justifications, and/or grievances.

Who are your service providers?

Our service providers include a range of different psychotherapists, our practitioners are accredited/members of their respective professional bodies e.g., BACP, and have a minimum of over 1500 hours of one to one psychotherapy experience.

Our psychotherapeutic modalities include, but are not limited to: humanistic counselling, integrative psychotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy etc.,

Can I change therapist?

Yes, of course. Your first appointment will be with our primary recommendation, but you are free to re-book in with any practitioner we work with, once you have been assessed as suitable, simply contact our email or phone: 07377003209 - contact@myprotherapies.co.uk

I no longer need to access services, is there anything I need to do?

No, once you have completed with your practitioner and no longer feel you need to access our services, there is nothing you need to do.

Thank You!

And remember, our practitioners are only ever a few clicks away.

My risk has escalated and I am no longer appropriate for the service, what should I do?

If your risk escalates and you are no longer suitable for our services, then your practitioner may make suggestions on where you might seek further support/information, depending on where your symptoms, intensity and risk has escalated to, e.g., local NHS crisis teams.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer clear cut advice concerning what you should/or should not do if you are higher intensity/risk, our practitioners are not psychiatrists, and while they make make an informed suggestion, this is not the same as a clear cut referral, and may vary depending on the practitioner in question.

Is there a limit on how often I can access certain services?

No, access depends on practitioner availability, and they will make any recommendations regarding frequency of sessions, in line with your input.

That being said, the industry average is once per week, possibly once a fortnight in some cases, and we are more than happy to accommodate different requisite frequencies in most cases.
